These radiator valves are finished in a gorgeous range of copper, from antique copper for a more vintage appeal to brushed and polished copper for a textured or glowing look. They are available in manual and thermostatic to provide you with heat control that suits you.

So what are manual and thermostatic valves? Though they do have a similar look they offer slightly different things. Manual valves allow you to turn your radiator on and off, whereas thermostatic radiator valves or TRV for short provide more flexibility, allowing you to adjust the temperature of your radiator to suit your heating needs.

Copper Radiator Valves Popular Questions

What Radiator Valves Will I Need For My Radiator?

Radiator valves come in three different shapes, so you need to make sure you purchase the correct one as not all radiator valves fit in every radiator. Here is each valve shape and what they fit into.

Angled radiator valves - For pipework exiting the floor and radiators with side connections.
Straight radiator valves - For pipework exiting the floor and radiators with underneath connections.
Corner radiator valves - For pipework exiting the wall and radiators with either underneath or side connections.

If you need help on deciding which valve to choose or if you would like to learn more about the different valves available and what they do please see our useful guide.

What Radiators Will Copper Radiator Valves Suit?

At Designer Radiators Direct we have a wide range of designs in a copper finish, so no matter the style of radiator you have, our copper valves will suit them. More vintage style copper radiator valves will look exceptional with traditional radiators and vintage-style radiators. For more modern designer radiators our simplistic copper radiator valves will work best, but even many of our traditional valves look great with modern radiators including our highly popular cross-head radiator valves.

Do I Need New Radiator Valves?

Unless you have purchased a new radiator with differently placed connections or unless your radiator valves are over 10 years old you do not need to replace your valves. But it is recommended to change them if they don’t match your new radiator or if they lower the appeal of your current radiator valves. Though small, radiator valves can give your radiator a whole new look, so if you’re renovating or re-decorating it might be something to consider.

Are Manual Radiator Valves Or Thermostatic Valves Better?

This depends on how you use your radiator and how the heating is in your room. If there is no need to adjust the temperature of your radiators when on, or if the room is not used often then we recommend manual radiator valves.

Thermostatic radiator valves are more popular in busy rooms or spaces where you struggle to find the right temperature, a great example of this is if your room gets too hot too quickly when the heating is on. A thermostatic radiator valve can help control this and make it more comfortable for you.
