Small Radiators Popular Questions

Do Smaller Radiators Use Less Energy?

This depends on the size of the room you are trying to heat. Smaller radiators have less surface area so they do give off less heat. But if you're only trying to heat a small area then a large radiator could end up being a waste of money. It's a balancing act, as if you get a radiator that is too small it won’t heat up your room effectively but if you get a radiator too big it can make your room too hot too quickly. It's best to check our BTU calculator to find out what BTU your room needs.

Are Small Radiators Cost Effective?

Smaller radiators can be great for smaller rooms or finicky area’s. They aren’t too expensive to first purchase, with ours starting at just £15. And aren’t as expensive to run as large radiators as there's less water in small radiators to heat, but it can be more expensive if you purchase a radiator that is too small for your room, as you’ll notice that you have to keep it on for longer. It's again the balancing act of knowing what size your room needs and finding the right size radiator for that room.

What Styles Do Small Radiators Come In?

Thanks to modern technology we are able to fit more inside a smaller radiator, making them just as worthy as larger radiators, this means that the range of styles has broadened massively, with the option of panel radiators, traditional column radiators, low level radiators, and if you have the height, vertical radiators are also a great option.
