Carron Radiators, Cast Iron Radiators With Free UK Delivery On Selected Items

At Designer Radiators Direct we trust Carron Radiators, that's why we offer long lasting warranties, because we know they are built to last. Dedicated to only producing the highest quality cast iron radiators available, Carron uses CNC moulds and 3D modelling techniques to sand cast each section of these radiators to ensure that every nook and cranny has a flawless look. Carron offers over 10,000 different coloured finishes to choose from in their own paint and spray shop, and even offer an expert colour matching service for customers who want the perfect detailed finish on their cast iron radiators.

The reason why cast iron radiators are so popular is because of their fantastic durability and heat retention. Cast iron radiators can hold heat longer than any other material, providing hours of warmth even when your radiator is switched off. They can be fantastic in spaces that quickly heat up but struggle to stay warm. If you notice you constantly switch your heating off and on, a cast iron radiator might just be the radiator for you.

Before you get too excited about buying a cast iron radiator it's important to know the BTU required for your space. At Designer Radiators Direct we’ve made a handy and free BTU calculator so you can get the perfect radiator for your room.

Carron Radiators Popular Questions

What’s So Good About Cast Iron Radiators?

Cast iron is a brilliant material for radiators. Extremely durable and hardy, they are brilliant for holding heat and if looked after, cast iron radiators can last a lifetime. With the lifetime warranties we offer at Designer Radiators Direct on some Carron cast iron radiators, we really mean a lifetime!

Are Cast Iron Radiators Expensive To Run?

The thing about cast iron radiators is that, though they can take a while to heat up they are able to hold onto heat more than any other radiator. So it might seem like they are more expensive to run because of the time it can take to warm the heater up, but remember that once you turn your heating off the cast iron radiator can keep going for longer than any other radiator. So this means that cast iron radiators aren’t any more expensive than aluminium radiators, which heat up quickly but also cool down quickly.

What Are The Best Selling Carron Radiators?

  • Carron Enderby 3 Column Radiator - This fantastic column radiator is perfectly designed for modern and traditional properties. It is available in a range of RAL coloured finishes to match your aesthetic beautifully and features brilliant heat outputs to quickly heat your space.

Do These Radiators Need Radiator Accessories?

Cast iron is a heavy material, so it is highly recommended to purchase a wall stay with these cast iron radiators if it's free standing. This can minimise the risk of the radiator tipping or falling which can cause damage to your property and radiator. It can also cause injury if they do fall, so wall stays are strongly recommended if you have the radiator in a busy stop in your property or if you have children running around.

Another accessory is the radiator valve. These do not need replacing if the new radiator has the same connections as your current radiator, but if the connections are different you will need new radiator valves. It is usually recommended to replace your radiator valves when purchasing a new radiator so you can find valves that have a similar finish and style to your new radiator, but if your valves are relatively new and fits your new radiator you don't have to replace them.
