When Should My Radiator Be Replaced?
Radiators can last for many years, and sometimes it's not always easy to know if your radiator needs a little fix or if it needs replacing completely. Here are a few things for you to consider, if any of these answers fit your issue then it might be time to replace your radiator.
- Performance - Is your radiator performing like it should? Does it heat effectively and evenly? Does it take longer than it used to, to get warm?
- Maintenance - Is it in good condition? Has it been bled recently or does it need bleeding more than usual?
- Age - Does your radiator still function well for your space? Is it expensive to run? Would a newer model be more efficient for heating & costs?
- Aesthetic - Does your radiator suit your room? Does it stand out like a sore thumb? Or are you doing a complete remodel and unsure if your current radiator will fit your new interior?
Sometimes your radiator might just need a little TLC, it might not have to be replaced at all. If you're unsure it is best to contact a local plumber and get them to have a look. But if you would like to try and fix your radiator yourself then we have an informative guide that could help.
